Yssingeaux Classic Pocket Knife - Rosewood - A

1 left in stock - Order now.

The Yssingeaux (pronounced "e seɪn jo") is named after its birthplace of "Yssingeaux" a village in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The version of the knife you see today was baptized Yssingeaux around 1920 but was also found in slightly different formats since the late 1800s under the name "Issoire," "Bourbonnais (1890)", "Façon Chabrol (1908)" and "Le Basque (1912)". Today, Fontenille Pataud offers a slightly more contemporary version of this knife that features a lock back system named "5 Coqs".

Technical aspects: This knife features a solid hardened blade stop to help prevent the blade's edge from making contact with the spring's inner area. This knife's handle is progressively wider toward the bottom. This characteristic provides a safer grip.
