Laguiole-Imports was created by Frederic Camboulives in 2000 by selling Chateau Laguiole on eBay and officially/legally began in 2002. Like many "online" businesses at the time, "eBay" was where our first sales came from. Our website was just an unorganized showcase of products with no shopping cart.
The Laguiole-Import.com name was lost because someone forgot to renew the domain name ;-). Why was it replaced with CustomCurling.com? To this day no one is sure or perhaps no one (mainly Frederic) wants to talk about it.
This was a critical year in many ways.

NeverUnder, LLC was provided with the official U.S. distribution of Opinel Cutlery as well as the permission to use opinel-usa.com to promote and retail the Opinel brand.
Reverted to Laguiole-Imports.com - Thank God for that, we got lucky on that one ;)
NeverUnder, LLC becomes the exclusive U.S. distributor for famed Forge de Laguiole brand.
February: We moved to sunny Jacksonville, Florida from Connecticut with absolutely no disruption in order fulfillment. To this day we are not quite sure how we pulled it off but we did, really :). Additionally, we are also very proud that 60% of our employees made the move to FL. No luck here, we simply treat our employees the same way we do our customers and of course the fact that we move to Florida helped a lot.

After seven years as an independent Opinel retail and wholesale distributor, NeverUnder, LLC was contracted to continue to serve as the official U.S retailer of Opinel cutlery on Opinel-USA.com.
The Opinel wholesale distribution is now directly handled by Opinel USA, Inc. and is located in Chicago.
