TIMELINE

2002

Laguiole-Imports was created by Frederic Camboulives in 2000 by selling Chateau Laguiole on eBay and officially/legally began in 2002. Like many "online" business at the time "eBay" was where our first sells came from, our website was just an unorganized showcase of product with no shopping cart.

2003

The Laguiole-Import.com name was lost because someone forgot to renewed the domain name ;-). Why was it replaced with CustomCurling.com? To this day no one is sure or perhaps no one (mainly Frederic) wants to talk about it.

2006

This was a critical year in many ways.
  • Frederic quit is "day job" to fully dedicate himself to the business.
  • The addition of "in house" personalization is added.
  • NeverUnder, LLC is created.

2007

Sommelier de France, our retail store in Mystic, CT was open.Same or next day engraving and shipping is now standard. See shipping schedule for details

2009

NeverUnder. LLC was provided with the official U.S. distribution of Opinel Cutlery as well as the permission to use opinel-usa.com to promote and retail the Opinel brand.

2012

Reverted to Laguiole-Imports.com - Thank God for that, we got lucky on that one ;)

2014

NeverUnder, LLC becomes the exclusive U.S. distributor for famed Forge de Laguiole brand.

2016

February: We moved to sunny Jacksonville, Florida from Connecticut with absolutely no disruption in order fulfillment. To this day we are not quite sure how we pulled it off but we did, really :). Additionally, we are also very proud that 60% of our employees made the move to FL. No luck here, we simply treat our employees the same way we do our customers and of course the fact that we move to Florida helped a lot.

We are provided with the exclusive U.S. wholesale distribution of Ligne | W wine accessories & Arto Art Knife Technologies, both French manufacturers.

After seven years as an independent Opinel retail and wholesale distributor NeverUnder, LLC was contracted to continue to serve as the official U.S retailer of Opinel cutlery on Opinel-USA.com.

The Opinel wholesale distribution is now directly handled by Opinel USA, Inc. and is located in Chicago.

2017

We have the privilege to be the first to introduce the Laguiole Magnum 2-step waiter-style corkscrew to the United States. Many thanks to "Gilles", the owner of Fontenille Pataud for the privilege.

2018

A couple of high-end Non-Laguiole brands are about the be introduced.
Customizable wooden steak knife box will soon be available.
