Forge de Laguiole pocket knives are meticulously handcrafted in the village of Laguiole, showcasing a forged steel blade and a one-piece forged bee seamlessly integrated with a decorated spring. Each masterpiece is crafted entirely by a single artisan, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and a deep sense of pride in the finished product.

What is a Forged Bee?
A forged bee is a hallmark of superior craftsmanship. You can identify it by examining the point where the bee meets the decorated spring. If there are no visible gaps, it indicates that the bee and spring were forged from a single piece of metal. In contrast, a soldered bee can be recognized by a straight gap or ridge where the bee is attached to the spring.

Many Laguiole pocket knives on the market, particularly the budget-friendly "bargain" options, feature soldered bees. Soldering the bee to the spring is a cost-saving method that reduces production time, which is why these knives are often significantly cheaper. However, the original Laguiole knives, crafted in the early 1800s, featured forged bees and blades, as soldering techniques had not yet been developed.

Horn Tip from domestic cattle. The tip of the horn is the hardest and most durable, Inferior horn handles are made from the bottom of the horn which will warp with time.

Pocket Knives are designed for cutting only. Please do not use it as a screwdriver, crowbar, or wood chisel, as this can cause irreversible damage and void the warranty.

Corkscrews

Important Note on Use: Waiter-style corkscrews are designed for use with a secure grip on the bottle neck. Please do not use the tool by clamping the bottle between your knees and pulling the handle. This technique often applies excessive force, which is likely to bend the screw (worm) and will immediately void the product warranty.

To keep your pocket knife or corkscrew in top condition, follow these maintenance tips:

  1. Lubricate Moving Parts: Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to all moving parts. This ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your knife.
  2. Hand Wash Only: Always hand-wash your pocket knife. After washing, dry it quickly with a soft towel to prevent rust and corrosion.
  3. Recommended Lubricant: We highly recommend using Sentry-Solutions Tuf Glide for all our folding knives. It provides excellent lubrication and protection.

Important Note: Tuf Glide is not considered a "food-safe" product. Avoid using it on knives that come into contact with food.

Elegant Gift for Fathers Day

I’m late submitting this review and I apologize. I made a video 6 months ago about receiving this beautiful exquisite only to be used on special occasions folding knife . It’s really a piece of steel art . But also effective and razor sharp . Made of High Quality materials. I had searched on eBay for a while but feared I would receive a counterfeit. I ordered from here and felt safe . Knife arrived super fast . I even ordered a gorgeous black leather sheath to compliment. I can’t thank my kids enough for this truly wonderful gift ( I’m a knife collector and this fits in extremely well ). Highly recommended
