Before the development of the Laguiole in the 19th century, French shepherds carried a knife called the "Capuchadou" (or "capujadou"). This knife was used for all daily tasks, from preparing lunch to caring for their flock of sheep. The four-leaf clover was added to provide good luck.
Guilloche: The Guilloché series features additional chiseling of the spring and liners (top & bottom. The "bee" and the spring (4-leaf clover) of this knife are forged from one piece of stainless steel.
The shamrock also features a genuine gemstone in its center.

Things to Look For
The file work on the springs (top of handle) are individually hand filled by a French artisan, therefore all are different. Additionally, two handles made from the same material can have very different patterns.

For best care, refrain from submerging in water and dry immediately. We recommend using Tuf-Glide Oil-Free Lubricant 1/4 oz Pen. Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to the axle of all moving parts to maintain optimal performance.
It’s the knife you see in the picture. It was delivered on time. It is perfect for my hand. It looks great. Only hit is the knife is not sharp at all. Not a big problem , there is a knife sharpening company right here. That’s the only reason it didn’t get a 5 star rating. I will get another knife, Corsican Rondanara.
