The Chateau Laguiole® Grand Cru series was created to meet the rigorous demands of professional wine service. While maintaining the elegant silhouette of the original 1993 design found in the Classic Collection, the Grand Cru models feature reinforced heavy-duty bolsters and a more robust construction designed to uncork over 20 bottles a day for years of service. Like every authentic Chateau Laguiole, this piece is 100% Made in France.
Handle Character: This Grand Cru model features a handle crafted from vibrant Red Stamina (Staminawood). Staminawood is a high-tech material created by impregnating natural wood veneers with resin and dyes under intense heat and pressure. The result is a handle that retains the organic grain and warmth of real wood while offering the extreme durability and water resistance required in a high-volume professional environment. Hand-polished to a high-gloss luster, the Red Stamina handle showcases a deep crimson hue that lends a bold, sophisticated look to any sommelier's station.

Included Black Sheath: The authentic Chateau Laguiole black belt sheath fits belts up to 2.5" wide. Each sheath is crafted from meticulously chosen genuine cowhide and is produced by Max Capdebarthes in France.
Stamina wood is a laminate made of veneers that have been dyed, then impregnated with phenolic resin, and compressed under high pressure and heat.
Since 2020 all genuine Château Laguiole corkscrews come with a registration card to be validated online. This is the only assurance of their authenticity and warranty.

Chateau Laguiole are shipped same business day from Florida when ordered by 4 PM Eastern time. UPS delivery can be expected in 1 to 3 business days depending on destination. International shipping options are available at checkout.

All Chateau Laguiole wine openers are made of 12C27 stainless steel and weigh around 4 oz (113 grams). The overall length closed is 4.5 inches (11.40 cm).
The foils cutter is serrated and measures 1.5/8 inches ~ 4.06 cm).
