1 in stock

Experience unparalleled efficiency with the "Rondinara" from Fontenille Pataud of France! For over two decades, we've searched for the most ergonomic French folding knife and are proud to say we found it. This knife boasts a long, curvy handle and a compact blade that packs a punch. The unique pistol grip makes it feel like an extension of your hand, giving you the confidence to tackle any task. Don't miss out on this tremendous folding knife's "working power"!

This knife was named after one of Corsica's most secluded white sand beaches. Rondinara is located a few kilometers from Bonifacio in southeast Corsica. This Corsican knife was created in collaboration with the Zuria family of Bonifacio Corsica.

Consider this: This knife is handmade in Europe's capital of cutlery, "Thiers." The “Gilles®” Fontenille Pataud collection of knives are considered by many to be some of the best French pocket knives money can buy. All Knives offered by Gilles are made entirely by a single craftsman, ensuring pride in ownership of the final piece.

Technical aspects: Smooth, easy opening & closing are provided by a Teflon-assisted Lock-Back system. This knife also features a solid hardened blade stop to help prevent the blade's edge from making contact with the inner area of the spring.

Stabilized burled beech "End-Grain" or "Bois Debout" in French harvested in France. End grain is the grain of wood seen when it is cut across the growth rings. Rather than cutting a plank of wood the trunk's length, end grain wood is actually cut at a 90-degree angle to the grain. This type of cut exposes the character of the wood rings and graining.

Pocket knives are shipped same business day from Florida when ordered by 4 PM Eastern time. UPS delivery can be expected in 1 to 3 business days depending on destination. International shipping options are available at checkout.

How to Maintain Your Pocket Knife

Pocket Knives are designed for cutting only. Do not use it as a screwdriver, crowbar, wood chisel, as this can cause irreversible damage and void the warranty.

To keep your pocket knife in top condition, follow these maintenance tips:

  1. Lubricate Moving Parts: Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to all moving parts. This ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your knife.
  2. Hand Wash Only: Always hand wash your pocket knife. After washing, dry it quickly with a soft towel to prevent rust and corrosion.
  3. Recommended Lubricant: We highly recommend using Sentry-Solutions Tuf Glide for all our folding knives. It provides excellent lubrication and protection.

Important Note: Tuf Glide is not considered a "food-safe" product. Avoid using it on knives that come into contact with food.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your pocket knife remains reliable and ready for your next adventure.
