Forge de Laguiole Pinot Noir Thuya Handle

The Pinot Noir Series represents a fusion of utility and art. This model features a boot lever with exceptional detailing, inspired by the artistic creations of Stephane Rambaud, one of France's most celebrated master cutlers.

The handle is crafted from rare Thuya Wood, an exotic burl from the Atlas Mountains known for its dense clusters of small "eyes" and rich, golden-brown mahogany tones. This resinous wood is naturally durable and has a subtle, cedar-like aroma.

Handmade in Laguiole, France, these "Sommeliers" are the only high-end waiter-style corkscrews to feature the traditional Shepherd's Cross meticulously pinned into the handle.

Developed in collaboration with professional sommeliers, this tool’s ergonomics and efficiency earned it the prestigious "Prix Design Plus" award. Each masterpiece is entirely hand-assembled and completed by a single master craftsman to ensure absolute quality.

The Forge de Laguiole workshop is located in the historic village of Laguiole, France (population 1,300), where this iconic style first appeared in the early 1800s. Today, it remains the "must-have" luxury brand for integrity and innovative design.

Thuya (Tetraclinis articulata) imported from Morocco's Atlas mountain region, North Africa.

Pocket Knives are designed for cutting only. Please do not use it as a screwdriver, crowbar, or wood chisel, as this can cause irreversible damage and void the warranty.

Corkscrews

Important Note on Use: Waiter-style corkscrews are designed for use with a secure grip on the bottle neck. Please do not use the tool by clamping the bottle between your knees and pulling the handle. This technique often applies excessive force, which is likely to bend the screw (worm) and will immediately void the product warranty.

To keep your pocket knife or corkscrew in top condition, follow these maintenance tips:

  1. Lubricate Moving Parts: Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to all moving parts. This ensures smooth operation and extends the life of your knife.
  2. Hand Wash Only: Always hand-wash your pocket knife. After washing, dry it quickly with a soft towel to prevent rust and corrosion.
  3. Recommended Lubricant: We highly recommend using Sentry-Solutions Tuf Glide for all our folding knives. It provides excellent lubrication and protection.

Important Note: Tuf Glide is not considered a "food-safe" product. Avoid using it on knives that come into contact with food.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your item remains reliable and ready for your next adventure.

"I firmly believe that the tool employed to uncork an exquisite bottle of wine should embody the same level of perfection as the individuals who crafted it."
