Chateau Laguiole Gerard Basset - Best Sommeliers Series
This Chateau Laguiole was created in honor of Gerard Basset of the United Kingdom, winner of the 2010 World's best sommelier contest. Mr. Basset was the only person in the world to be a Master Sommelier, a Master of Wine, and a Wine MBA. Sadly, Mr. Basset passed away on January 16, 2019. He was only 61.
The Best Sommeliers series, created by Master Sommeliers Guy Vialis, celebrates the world's best sommeliers with corkscrews designed with their input. With its debut in 1993, Chateau Laguiole quickly became the preferred brand of many top sommeliers. Today, Chateau Laguiole remains one of the most sought-after waiter-style corkscrews in the industry and is proudly Made in France.
