The stunning Chateau Laguiole corkscrew featuring a red and black design is inspired by the classic French novel "Le rouge et le Noir" (The Red and the Black).
The Chateau Laguiole® was created in 1993 by Master Sommelier Guy Vialis and was the first actual waiter-style Laguiole style corkscrew on the market. Since it debuted, the Chateau Laguiole® brand has been the favorite among some of the world's best sommeliers and, to this day, is the most sold (and counterfeited) high-end waiter-style Laguiole corkscrew in the world. All genuine Chateau Laguiole corkscrews like this one are 100 % Made in France.
The sheath: The original Chateau Laguiole black belt sheath is used by countless waiters worldwide. This sheath accommodates belts up to 2 1/2" wide. Each sheath is made from carefully selected genuine cowhide is manufactured by Max Capdebarth of France.
Stabilized & dyed rosewood from East India and black Corian.
Since 2020 all genuine Château Laguiole corkscrews come with a registration card to be validated online. This is the only assurance of their authenticity and warranty.

All Chateau Laguiole wine openers are made of 12C27 stainless steel and weigh around 4 oz (113 grams). The overall length closed is 4.5 inches (11.40 cm).
The foils cutter is serrated and measures 1.5/8 inches ~ 4.06 cm).
For best care, refrain from submerging in water and dry immediately. We recommend using Tuf-Glide Oil-Free Lubricant 1/4 oz Pen. Periodically apply a few drops of lubricant to the axle of all moving parts to maintain optimal performance.
