Like every authentic Chateau Laguiole piece, this one is 100% Made in France.
Handle Character: This Grand Cru model features a handle crafted from genuine Dark Ram Horn (Mouton Noir). Distinguished by its rugged, organic texture, ram horn offers a more matte and tactile feel compared to other horn varieties. The "Dark" selection features a deep charcoal-and-obsidian palette, often highlighting the horn's natural ridges and unique growth patterns. Hand-finished to preserve its raw, masculine character, this material provides a superb grip and a distinct aesthetic favored by professionals who appreciate a tool with a weighted, substantial presence.

Included Black Sheath: The authentic Chateau Laguiole black belt sheath fits belts up to 2.5" wide. Each sheath is crafted from meticulously chosen genuine cowhide and is produced by Max Capdebarthes in France.
Dark Ram horn tip (France). Dark ram horn is extreamely hard to find as most Rams have mostly lighter horns.
Please note that the actual handle color and pattern of the item you receive may vary from the stock photos.
Additionally, due to the uneven characteristic of Ram Horn, the metal rivets found on the handle may not be completely flush with this unique handle material.
Since 2020 all genuine Château Laguiole corkscrews come with a registration card to be validated online. This is the only assurance of their authenticity and warranty.

Chateau Laguiole are shipped same business day from Florida when ordered by 4 PM Eastern time. UPS delivery can be expected in 1 to 3 business days depending on destination. International shipping options are available at checkout.

All Chateau Laguiole wine openers are made of 12C27 stainless steel and weigh around 4 oz (113 grams). The overall length closed is 4.5 inches (11.40 cm).
The foils cutter is serrated and measures 1.5/8 inches ~ 4.06 cm).
