This one of a kind sommelier corkscrew was entirely handcrafted by Master Cutler S. Rambaud in the village of Laguiole. This masterpiece features a hand forged rose pattern Damascus blade; a fully hand chiseled bee, a chiseled boot lever, and a 360° chiseled liner.

The Forge de Laguiole workshop is located in the tiny village of Laguiole, France - Pop. 1300 - where the Laguiole knife first appeared in the early 1800's. Interesting pages:Laguiole's history and facts.

CONSTRUCTION & SIZE

All Forge de Laguiole corkscrews are made of Martensitic stainless steel and weight around 3 oz (85 grams). It is important to note that high grade (and cost) martensitic stainless steel is used due to the its hardness, strength and wear resistance qualities.
Overall length closed is 4.3/4 inches (12 cm). The foils cutter doubles as a bottle cap opener and measure 1.5/8 inches ~4.06 cm).
