In most cases, orders are delivered within 1 or 3 business days from ship date. International customers can expect to receive orders within 2 to 3 business days as well by selecting our FedEx International Priority option ($35 flat rate fee). Orders under $39 ship free via First Class mail and can take up to 5 business days to be delivered. Faster shipping options, such as overnight, are available during checkout.

Any knife or corkscrew can break regardless of quality, design or workmanship, it doesn't happen often but when it does one could find itself in a difficult and probably costly situation. This is the reason why we have developed an easy solution for our U.S. customers. If you ever are in need of a warranty claim or a repair for your Laguiole or other french knives we will be here for you. As long as your knife or corkscrew was purchased from us we will take of everything for you.

If you are located in the United States we will handle the shipping fees to and from France for your repair or warranty service.In most cases, we will act on your behalf with the manufacturer and handle your claim quickly and efficiently (see details below).

For all brands except Forge de Laguiole (see tab below) we will not be able to handle your claim. You will need to contact the original retailer and most likely asked to ship your knife or corkscrew to France at your cost. Moreover, the manufacturer will require you to pay for the cost of the return shipping.

Forge de Laguiole: Very consistent and professional repair schedule. Probably the best post-purchase services in the Laguiole business: 30 days or less
Fontenille Pataud: Never had any issues: 30 days or less
Nontron: Never had any issues: 30 days or less. Quick fact: Nontron is owned by Forge de Laguiole.
Chateau Laguiole: As of August 2019: 30 to 45 days due to the company ongoing overhaul.It appears that Chateau Laguiole has improved the warranty repair process greatly in the last couple of weeks. We are very confident that Chateau Laguiole will be back to our expected 30 days or less repair schedule by the fall of 2019.
Important fact: Chateau Laguiole has literally millions of corkscrews in consumers hands. Being the most successful of all high-end wine openers since 1993 places a lot of pressure on the brand's repair and warranty services.
Forge de Laguiole offers a lifetime limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
Warranty and repair support are only available for Forge de Laguiole cutlery purchased from a U.S. retailer located within the United States (proof of purchase required).
If the item failure is deemed to be a manufacturer's defect you will not be charged any repair fees. If it was not a manufacturer's defect (i.e. bent foil cutter blade, screw, etc...) you will be informed of the repair cost in advance. Chateau Laguiole offers a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.

Max Capdebarthes offers a limited warranty against manufacturer defects. Leather sheaths will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of the manufacturer if the sheath is found to be defective.
What is covered: Any product failure due to manufacturer defect. Issues like cuts, punctured leather or obvious signs of negligence are not covered under the warranty. Please contact us with any warranty claims, do not send an item to France directly as it may not be handled correctly.
Code38 professional wine knives carry a Manufacturer’s international warranty covering any defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This Warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, alteration or unreasonable use. Register your Code38 to be covered by the Lifetime Warranty.
Code38 takes extraordinary measures so your Code38 will give you many years of dependable service. If it doesn't, at our discretion the manufacturer will gladly repair or replace it with one of equal or greater value. This warranty does not cover abuse, alteration, theft, loss, or unauthorised and/or unreasonable use of your Code38 product.
