The Rouennais pocket knife. Created during the 18th century in NORMANDY and until 1960, the Rouennais was mainly used by peasants and Norman cattle breeders. The original handle was made of gray horn and decorated with four rosettes. He could also possess a couple of other tools such as a "trocar." The Rouennais was a country knife indispensable to breeders and horse dealers who appreciated its cutting edge and even used to clean the tails of cows, hence its nickname "cow's tail." In honor of all GIs that have certainly used the original Rouannais while in France Arto has reinvented the classic using modern tools, material, and safety features. Made in France
