This knife was designed by graphic designer Yan Pennor. This graphic designer created his own brand in 1950,hand-madeé that embodied British craftsmanship of the previous century. In his atelier, Yan Pennorés wants to do everything himself. I do all the sketches by hand, from start to finish. His specialization in letters is not his only claim to fame. He has been approached by Guerlain, Lanvin and Laurent Perrier to design their billboards, Pierre Herme for a cake and the Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini for his sweet creations, Larousse for itssemeuseé and FORGE DE LAGUIOLE for its characteristic logo and in the 90s for a Catalan-inspired knife with a big handle and a stylized fly.
Handmade in the village of Laguiole, France Forge de Laguiole knives are truly and by far of the highest quality offered in the market today. Additionally, each one of this masterpiece is fully handmade by the same craftsman to insure pride in the completed piece. Note: The Forge de Laguiole workshop is located in the village of Laguiole, France where the Laguiole knife was invented in the early 1800s.

Most personalized orders leave same or next day depending on order time. However, please allow up to 2 business days during the couple of weeks preceding Christmas and Father's day. Engraved items cannot be returned unless we made an obvious mistake such as location, font or spelling. Location areas are "approximate." Our engravers will place engravings in the most "tasteful & appropriate" way. Please let us know if you have special requests regarding the order of words, size etc. by calling us at 1-860-245-2211. We cannot accept returns on items that were not engraved the way you "assumed" they would be unless you provided us with specific & comprehensive instructions that we did not follow.

Max Capdebarthes is a master leather craftsman located in the tiny (pop. 800) 12th-century village of Sauveterre de Rouergue in the southwest of France.
Each sheath is made from carefully selected genuine cowhide. Mr. Max Capdebarthes is considered by most knife manufacturers as the best leather craftsman in Europe, perhaps the world.
Many acclaimed cutlers, such as Forge de Laguiole, Fontenille Pataud and Chateau Laguiole contracts Max for their needs.
