The Aurillac pocket knife. The knife of Aurillac, created towards the end of the 18th Century, is a skillful mixture of straight, angled and spherical volumes. Its design, looking closer, is subtle. The alignment of the back of the handle and the blade is a perfect line that harmonizes with the bottom end especially in roundness. Taking a closer look, from certain angles, this subtle mixture of lines takes the form of a ram's leg, perhaps that of the Belial demon, we'll never know!Gerbert d'Aurillac will never know this knife, but its curves remind us of the legend and that we must not agree with the devil. This knife was named after the city of Aurillac, the capital city of "la Haute-Auvergne, chef-lieu du département du Cantal."
